William Wills, Founder and President

William Wills brings 32 years of experience in federal aviation and regulatory compliance to every engagement.

He spent 28 years as a military, DoD and FAA air traffic controller. As a Traffic Management Coordinator, he oversaw 2.3 million annual operations.

He then served four years as an FAA Obstruction Evaluation Specialist, reviewing proposed construction under 14 CFR Part 77 through the FAA's OE/AAA process. That work showed him how often projects run into airspace limits that could have been identified before land was purchased or a design was set.

He founded Airspace Strategy Advisors to bring that knowledge to the private side of the table. His work focuses on 14 CFR Part 77 airspace analysis, FAA Form 7460-1 filings and Safety Management Systems (SMS). William is a U.S. military veteran.

How we work

  • Early answers. Airspace questions belong in due diligence, not in the permitting phase.
  • Defensible numbers. Recommendations rest on the same criteria the FAA applies.
  • Plain language. Findings are written for decision-makers, not just specialists.
