FAA Form 7460-1 Filing Services

FAA Form 7460-1, the Notice of Proposed Construction or Alteration, starts the FAA's obstruction evaluation (OE/AAA) review. An incomplete or inaccurate filing can add weeks of questions or produce a more restrictive determination than the project needed. Airspace Strategy Advisors prepares, files and tracks Form 7460-1 notices through to a determination.

What's included

  • Notice screening: confirm which structures and cranes meet the 14 CFR 77.9 notice criteria.
  • Data review: check coordinates, ground elevations and heights, including rooftop equipment and antennas, before anything is filed.
  • Filing: prepare and submit each notice through the OE/AAA website as your representative.
  • Tracking: follow each aeronautical study, answer FAA questions and keep you informed.
  • Determination review: explain any conditions, such as marking and lighting under FAA Advisory Circular 70/7460-1.
  • Follow-through: extension requests and Form 7460-2 notices when construction starts and reaches full height.

Cranes and temporary equipment

A building with a valid determination can still be delayed by its cranes. Each crane that meets the notice criteria needs its own Form 7460-1, and its determination may carry conditions of its own. Airspace Strategy Advisors plans crane filings alongside the building so equipment approvals are in hand before mobilization.

Structures we file for

  • Commercial and industrial buildings
  • Parking structures
  • Cranes and temporary construction equipment
  • Telecommunications towers and rooftop antennas
  • Wind turbines
  • Transmission lines

Site coordinates and elevations are provided by the client's licensed surveyor or engineer. Airspace Strategy Advisors does not provide surveying or engineering services.
